Hello again fellow gamers and devs!
Sorry for the long timeframe without posting. As I stated in my last post I had some series of unfortunate events....even more unfortunate is that they continued after that post. I have Crohn's Disease and was experiencing a lot of Crohn's related health issues which made it a struggle just to get through work at my day job. My health is finally returning to normal and should hopefully be under control now. In fact things are going much better and hopefully will stay that way (*knock on wood*). I will be back to posting weekly now (so long as my situation doesn't change). I didn't have much time to prepare my planned post for tabletop games just yet so I will plan on that for my next post.
Concerning my next game in progress (TBA), needless to say I have not gotten much done as of late due to my health. My symptoms made it extremely hard to focus or summon the energy to get stuff done but I did do a little more work on the HUD design but no major updates other than that just yet. I am starting to realize the scope and scale of this title may be a bit large for solo development so I may be dialing back on my planned content for it which is partly why I haven't revealed too much on it just yet.
In order to relax a bit and prevent myself from overworking or making my health issues worse, I started playing a fairly new crafting survival game called Valheim...granted sometimes it can be stressful but at least it's in a fun way. I haven't played a crafting survival game in a long time and really had no interest in going back to crafting survival games but was almost immediately sucked into this one and I highly recommend it. It has a excellent progression and reward system to keep pushing you forward to explore and discover what else lies ahead in the world combing a great sense of adventure. Beautifully designed and well balanced AND it's still in early access with new updates and improvements coming in the future. Even as it is, it already has plenty of great content to enjoy.
That's all I have to update for now. Only thing I might add is if you own my game, Probe, on steam and have played it please leave it an honest review. Only a few more reviews and I will get a "mostly positive/negative" ranking display that will show on the storefront based on the reviews which will help the game be better discovered by new players. If you don't have it you can grab a copy here: https://store.steampowered.com/app/1275980/Probe/
Till next time hope everyone is doing well and hopefully I will be able to make a more game dev/game related post next week about tabletop games.
