Get Probe on Steam here: https://store.steampowered.com/app/1275980/Probe/
Hello again fellow gamers and devs!
Today marks the one year anniversary of Probe's initial release, even though it's evolved so much since then thanks to feedback from my small, but amazing, community of reviewers, testers and friends.
To celebrate, I thought I would go ahead and announce I am currently working on porting Probe for mobile release on Google Play! Currently, I do not have a release date for you as the code is in the process of being tweaked and when the build is done it must be reviewed for release but once I have a date I will let everyone know. It will be $1.99 (without ads) or FREE (with ads) for Google Play users and have achievements and leaderboards for Play Games accounts. I also will have a free 10 level demo for it, like I have on steam. Things I still need to tweak are mainly concerning the control systems. I will have to move the in game menu icons around and add some on screen arrow buttons, fire button, and a speed boost toggle button to the on screen display interface in order to be able to play on your phone or tablet like you would a controller. You will also be able to drag your crosshair before launching to set the launch trajectory.
If anyone is interested in signing up for closed pre-release testing (when I get to that point) please email at OfficialNateBitGames@gmail.com with the subject "Probe Mobile Beta" and I will add you to the tester list and notify you when the first available test build is live. I will also be releasing my Endless Falling Simulator game for FREE on Google Play as well!
Hope I didn't get anyone's hopes up and made anyone think this would be my next game announcement, but I wanted to at least have something new to announce and provide in the meantime while I work on my next game's development. I also would like to add, whenever I need a small break from my current larger scope project or have some extra down time I plan on working on Probe 2! Most likely it's release will be before my next larger scope game in the works to be announced and this way I can also be providing some new regular content and get feedback until I get to that phase with the other game. SO if you have any feedback/suggestions from Probe you would like to submit or features/content you would like to see in it, now would be a great time to do so...preferably in the form of a Steam review of the game or feel free to email me or leave a comment on this blog post or any of my social media accounts. Soon as I get some working builds on phone/tablet, or work done on Probe 2 I'll be sure to share some screenshots or gifs on my twitter page and here on my blog.
I was going to also try and make my Special Topic post for the anniversary about "What I learned from my first game release" but I felt I needed a little more time to reflect on it. Plus repeating the release process on Google Play will be a nice refresher to add to the topic. Hopefully, I should be able to make that post later this month.
Just want to say thanks again to everyone who purchased/played Probe and supported me through the whole endeavor and helped me make Probe what it is today and what Probe 2 will be...hopefully even better.
EDIT NOTE: Pricing was wrong. Probe mobile will be free with ads and 1.99 to remove them...not only a $0.99 paid app
